When it comes to any country, there are many controversies generated everyday. Same is the case now a day in Pakistan as one of the top-notch IT company Axact is falling apart. The company holds more than 65% of IT revenue for Pakistan as claimed by its owner “Shoaib Sheikh”. The luck is no good these days as the country’s local FIA( Federal Investigation Agency) has taken down the owner.
Axact has been blamed of providing fake degrees to a large amount of people across the globe with fake university names. According to reports, Axact had some university names registered on the Internet. A person from let’s say Saudi Arabia sees the ad, contacts the company for the online degree and pays for it. The ^university grants him the degree of graduation but if he decides to go out to find the university in America or wherever it claims it’s located in, he wouldn’t find anyone.
The company’s CEO has been taken down by FIA last night. The investigation is still going on. The question arises why now? I mean the case could have happened years ago but why when the Axact’s BOL news channel was pending to be on air in the month of june?
It is true that NY times posted the story first but who provided the material and asked to publish it? When you look at the whole scenario, things are not that much clear.
BOL hired the cream of media from every news channel. It’s obvious if someone gets a cream from your cake, you can’t have the same taste and you would try to take it back because there’s no cake after this one for you. All news channels in Pakistan might get united and formed some kind of a unity group to fire their anger against BOL.
There might be other possibilities as well. The political system of the country is corrupt mostly and that’s not written in any “Secret Book” that is buried somewhere in a desert far far away. This is a common fact. If Axact had given some shares to the those politicians, there’d be no FIA, no Interpol. The case could be closed within days after its opening.
Whatever the result will be, this news and the whole scandal has affected this news channel and the whole company badly. The cream has started to leave BOL. The investigation is still going on. Let’s see what comes out of it.
Is there any kind of media-mafia formed, a political confliction or was BOL really guilty?
